These images were taken at various beaches of Melbourne with my beloved Bronica SQ-A - and I’m not saying they are very extraordinary or anything, yet they are kind of special to me.
After 3 weeks organizing finally I managed to get to the point of photographing. I never thought that it would be this hard, and I’m sure it was mostly on me, however I enjoyed every minute of the shoot – thanks to Masha, Elyse, Aniko, Balazs and Mark, whose great attitude really helped a lot..
We started with pouring rain in the morning, Masha did her best while getting soaking wet, 3 umbrellas above her and the model.. I was quite nervous..
After that the weather became a lot better, so I decided not to use my speedlights – and I’m sure without this decision ths series wouldn’t be this good.
While I’m preparing for the next shoot, I decided to post those fairly new images which has been taken during my time in Melbourne.
I took these photos with my beloved, self-crafted welding glass – this is almost like an B+W ND1000 filter except for its price and color, which is deep-green. So I have to correct every exposure made with this filter in RAW converter – but the results usually speak for themselves. :)
This is the result of my second shoot with Pauline with which I’m quite satisfied with – however it was spontaneously organized and to be honest, I was quite unprepared for that..
The shot lasted only a few hours – but it was enough to get my flash and umbrella tested again, now from a distance. I wanted to get a boost for the available light from the window with the help of the flash to achieve a sort of High_key lighting. This could emphasize Pauline-s beautiful details and also gave a nice contrast of her little black dress.
